Dental Bridges — Speak, Eat Comfortably
Dental bridges can fill the gaps where teeth are missing.
Gaps in your teeth can cause numerous problems. You may struggle while speaking or experience pain while eating. Your neighboring teeth may drift out of position. Even worse, the space between your teeth is more susceptible to tooth decay and gum disease.
That’s why Alexander Duran, DDS highly recommends dental bridges to patients missing teeth. To create the dental bridge, Dr. Duran first uses a dental crown to cover the top of teeth abutting the gap. He then places an artificial tooth in the gap and bonds it to the dental crowns on neighboring teeth. This sturdy bridge adds stability to your bite and allows you to speak more comfortably.

If you have a cavity, we can seal it with tooth-colored fillings.
Tooth-colored fillings are a safer, more natural-looking alternative to metal fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are made from a composite of durable plastics. This composite is designed to blend with the color and texture of your surrounding teeth, unlike noticeable metal fillings. Root Canal Therapy — Keep the Tooth, Lose the Pain
Root canal therapy removes the infected tissue that causes tooth pain.
The root canal is a long chamber inside the tooth, containing nerves, arteries and connective tissue. When the root canal is infected, you’ll experience persistent pain. If this infection isn’t treated promptly, the tooth must be removed to stop the spread of infection.
Fortunately, we can save the tooth with a simple root canal procedure. With the patient under anesthesia, our dentist removes or reshapes the diseased tissue, then seals the tooth with a dental crown. Following a short recovery period, your teeth will be pain-free.

Wisdom Tooth Surgery — Reduce Pain, Prevent Disease
We remove wisdom teeth to eliminate tooth pain and prevent future dental decay.
In primitive times, humans needed these extra molars to crush shells and other tough prey. Now they are unnecessary. During adolescence, wisdom teeth grow even if the jaw doesn’t have room for them. They can grow sideways or become trapped beneath the gums, causing intense pain.
Wisdom teeth also can lead to dental disease in adulthood. These teeth form a pouch that traps food. Since the back of the mouth is difficult to reach and clean, your gums may become infected. This could lead to headaches, odor and decay in neighboring teeth.
Dr. Alexander Duran can remove these bothersome teeth with one procedure. It’s best if these teeth are removed in the late teens or early twenties, since complications are milder and less likely.
